Chemical Inventory

Keeping an inventory of all chemicals used and stored in the factory is necessary to develop an overview of the human and ecotoxilogical properties of the chemicals. A chemical inventory is the basis of a risk assessment, informs employees where necessary about chemical hazards and can prevent unnecessary stockpiles. For effective chemical management, it is important to clearly identify which chemicals are used, how they should be used and which substitutes could be an alternative. Inventories must therefore be regularly updated and archived.

In order to facilitate the compilation of chemical inventories, the inventory template provided here, coordinated with ZDHC, can be used.
