The Textiles Partnership welcomes five new members
A living wage is one that covers the cost of living of workers and their dependent family members and provides adequate reserves for emergency situations. Because individual actors have little impact on this issue, the Textile Partnership has launched a Partnership Initiative on livelihood wages. Here, members actively contribute to effective solutions to the wage question.

5th Members' Meeting
Am 19.11. trafen sich rund 110 Mitglieder und Gäste zur 5. Mitgliederversammlung des Textilbündnisses in Berlin.
The Review Process
Members of the Partnership for Sustainable Textiles, are on a journey towards achieving social, environmental, and economic improvements all along the textile supply network. The Partnership supports its members on this journey and structures its approach according to the OECD recommendations for due diligence in the textile and garment sector. Members are requested to formulate meaningful goals and implement appropriate measures based on the results of their risk assessment. In a review process, members are tracked individually to show the progress in achieving their targets. These results are then published.
Engagement in Production Countries: Partnership Initiatives
By pooling forces, members can use their combined strengths to initiate broader change in production countries. The Partnership Initiative’s philosophy: Working together, we can achieve more than acing alone. The Textile Partnership can achieve a lot in production countries through the purchasing power of companies, the expertise and contacts of non-governmental organisations and unions, the influence the German Federal Government can wield, and the increased leverage provided by joining forces with our cooperation partners.
Topics, Learning, Dialogue
The topics and challenges in realising the Partnership's goals are diverse and complex. To support our members, the Partnership provides a platform for learning, exchanging experiences, networking as well as for developing and scaling sustainable solutions.
The members and cooperation partners of the Partnership for Sustainable Textiles are committed to achieving social, ecological, and economic improvements throughout the entire textile supply chain.
