Fashion Charter publishes Playbook for Climate Action
The Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) has published the Playbook for Climate Action for the textile and clothing industry. The Charter, to which the Textiles Partnership is a supporting organisation (see article), aims to achieve net zero emissions across the industry by 2050 at the latest.
The Playbook is aimed at all companies in the textile and clothing sector and is intended to provide them with concrete action plans and options for climate protection and CO2 reduction. In particular, it provides support for small and medium-sized textile companies, but also offers valuable advice to larger players, for example on climate management in the supply chain.
Textiles Partnership members and cooperation partners Puma, Adidas, Textile Exchange and ZDHC were among those involved in the preparation of the Playbook for Climate Action.
