If you are interested in joining the Partnership for Sustainable Textiles, please contact the Partnership Secretariat before submitting your application. Contact information can be found down below.

Who can become a member of the Textile Partnership?

Interested parties from these stakeholder groups can join the Partnership as ordinary members:

In addition, research institutions or federal government agencies that deal with the topics of the Textile Partnership can become advisory members, as well as other organisations in justified exceptional cases.

What obligations are associated with membership?

Members are obliged to fulfil their due diligence obligations and to report publicly on the implementation of their due diligence obligations. This is done by participating in the Partnership’s own review process or, alternatively, by reporting to the BAFA or the Green Button 2.0.

Members also commit to submitting an annual list of suppliers (at least Tier 1) to the Partnership. This individual data is fed into an aggregated supplier list for the Textile Partnership, which is published via the Open Supply Hub. Members also undertake to successively provide information on the deeper supply chain.

In their work in the Textile Partnership, members concentrate in particular on four focus topics: Living Wages and Purchasing Practices, Gender Equality, Circular Economy and Climate, as well as Grievance Mechanisms and Acces to Remedy. They measure their progress in addressing these topics using key performance indicators (KPIs) and – from the third year of membership at the latest – participate in a joint commitment project in a focus topic.
