Within the scope of multi-year training measures, our local trainers bring together the owners, managers, and workers of the relevant production facilities with the aim to establish a culture of effective communication and dialogue. Each production facility forms its own AFA Project team which consists of managerial staff and workers. The team members are trained in a participatory and data-based method for identifying and solving problems. Their skills in the areas of occupational health and safety, prevention of discrimination and harassment, and fair remuneration are also strengthened. In addition, the training also focusses on identifying ways how improved productivity and quality management can lead to benefits for the production facility and its workers. This methodology enables the teams to independently meet a wide variety of different challenges in a systematic manner. The teams assume responsibility for establishing social standards by developing and implementing action plans.
