Net-zero emissions by 2050

In December 2018, the Partnership for Sustainable Textiles joined the Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action as a supporting organisation The Charter aims to reduce the CO2 emissions along the entire textile supply chain step by step and to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.

Companies, suppliers and other stakeholders in the textile and fashion industry work together to implement the goals and measures of the Working Groups set up by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

Amongst the Co-Initiators and founding Signatories of the Charter are also members of the Textiles Partnership.

By signing up as a Supporting Organisation, the Partnership commits itself to support the initiative within the scope of its mandate and, in particular, to provide information on participation opportunities and activities. Companies that are Signatories to the Charter commit themselves to implement the 16 principles individually.
