We share insights into a cotton project that tackles climate aspects and works on a digital carbon credit platform – interested supporter wanted.

Resilient and sustainable agricultural supply chains are a key component of a sustainable textile industry. A promising innovation in this context is the use of enriched biochar.
It can not only improve soil quality and yields in cotton cultivation, but also contribute to long-term CO₂ sequestration. In a webinar, we will present the successful application of this technology in Cameroon’s cotton sector.
We will also present a planned initiative to develop a digital carbon credit platform that, by certifying the CO₂ sequestered in the soil, will create an additional source of income for cotton producers in Cameroon and thus a financing perspective for scaling up these climate-friendly practices.

We cordially invite you to learn more about the potential of biochar and emissions certification in the textile industry and to join the discussion.

The Partnership has been transformed

The former Partnership for sustainable Textiles (PST) is now officially the Dialogue and Impact for Sustainable Textiles (DST). The multi-stakeholder network brings committed international, European and local stakeholders even closer together to promote a socially, environmentally and economically sustainable textile and clothing industry. The focus is on practical exchanges, knowledge transfer, and the development of initiatives with the involvement of local actors.
